If you're hungry on the secure side of KOA, this restaurant is it, except for a few vending machines or waiting after your flight has boarded. When Gayle and I came here, we had to wait for someone to leave, as someone has mistakenly (I think) locked the entrance door. On the other side was a lot of people in a relatively small space.

We found a few seats at the window and near the bar, which made it easier to have our beer served after ordering it at the counter. We also paid for a couple "grab and go" sandwich at the counter, although a few cooked to order items were available. This is not gourmet dining, and when you're hungry, culinary compromises are gladly made. However, the Hawaiian beer selection was good, and restaurant staff were doing the best they could under these crowded and small quarters circumstances.

Yuck, what a disappointment, even for small airport dining.  There aren't many choices,  but I wish we had gone somewhere else before arriving at the airport . My $8 grilled cheese was a complete waste .

Nothing much to write home about this airport bar/restaurant.  Average, maybe a little bit lower,  but they do have Kona Longboard on draft. It was served nice and cold, no problem there. I also bought some spam musubi.  It filled the void way better than the dinky little biscotti served up on the airliner.

$32 for a tuna sandwich and a chicken & rice plate. Both were terrible. Worst tuna sandwich I ever had.. I don't expect gourmet at an airport, but I do expect decent quality.. waste of money!

I got a very good burger and fries there, and/but bought a salad for the plane and it was disgusting. Probably a week old with brown lettuce. Horrible, but unable to return because on flight. Chicken was slimy. Just disgusting.
